(August 20, 2022) MINERAL POINT, Wis. — Thousands of years ago, during the last ice age, retreating glaciers leveled the American Midwest. Left behind was a mix of silt, clay, boulders, and crushed gravel collectively known as “drift.” A pocket in what’s now southwest Wisconsin was spared this violent reformation. Geologists refer to this as the Driftless Area—an emerald landscape with swells of rolling hills, trout-filled streams, and hardwood forests. Soft bedrock means many caves and sinkholes that are home to special ecosystems. The beauty here runs deep.

(August 8, 2022) Mecum Auctions has spent the vast majority of 2022 breaking and setting new auction records with unprecedented success beginning with the highest grossing collector car auction ever held in Kissimmee, Fla., this past January. The company’s most recent auction in Harrisburg, Pa., held July 27-30, followed the year’s record-setting trend with a total of $40 million in overall sales for a nearly 30% increase over the 2019 Harrisburg record of $31 million.

(July 27, 2022) Mecum Auctions is set to return to the Del Monte Golf Course at the Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel and Spa in Monterey, Calif., Aug. 18-20 for its annual Daytime Auction with a selection of classic and vintage motorcycles. In addition to the motorcycles, an estimated 600 classic and collector vehicles are expected to cross the auction block, with live coverage of the event broadcast on MotorTrendTV.
