Ringbrothers unveils custom 1969 Dodge Charger with Hellcat engine

(January 17, 2022) SPRING GREEN, Wis. — Ringbrothers, a custom car builder and parts manufacturer, has unveiled its latest creation — a custom 1969 Dodge Charger known as “CAPTIV.” The Charger makes an impressive yet “streetable” 707 horsepower from its Mopar Hellcat crate engine mated to a Tremec six-speed manual transmission. The build was completed for New Zealand-based motorsports legend and TV personality Greg Murphy.

'Back to the Future' DeLorean back in the spotlight in documentary

(January 3, 2022) If there was any doubt about the iconic status of the Back to the Future DeLorean, it is quickly dispelled in a new documentary released by the Hagerty Drivers Foundation. In the first three minutes of "88mph: The Story of the DeLorean Time Machine," no fewer than 13 enthusiasts — including movie stars Michael J. Fox and Lea Thompson — appear on screen to tout the staying power of the fictitious time machine that first appeared in the original 1985 film. And many more weigh in during the next hour and a half.

3,500 vehicles including 30 collections make up Mecum Kissimmee auction

(January 2, 2022) WALWORTH, Wis. — More than 500 of the nearly 800 vehicles that make up 30-plus collections consigned to the world’s largest collector car auction will be offered at no reserve when Mecum Kissimmee 2022 returns to Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, Fla., for the 11-day auction event, Jan. 6-16. In total, an estimated 3,500 vehicles will cross the auction block throughout the duration, and more than 1,000 items of Road Art and memorabilia will be presented on “Road Art Monday,” Jan. 10.
