(March 19, 2021) WALWORTH, Wis. — The most recognizable Ford Bronco in the world and the first “super car” of off-road racing—piloted by one of the most diverse and successful drivers in motorsports history — will be offered for sale to the public for the very first time this May. The famed 1969 Ford Bronco Baja 1000 Racer known as “Big Oly” — still owned by its even more famous pilot Parnelli Jones — is slated to cross the Mecum auction block at the company’s 34th annual Original Spring Classic auction May 14-22 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis.



(March 6, 2021) WALWORTH, Wis. — Mecum Auctions will host its third annual auction in Glendale, Ariz., at State Farm Stadium this March 18-20, and the anticipated 1,200-car lineup will be headlined by the awe-inspiring collection of Steve Todhunter, which comprises 20 vehicles ranging from seven pristine, low-mile Ferraris to a 1965 Shelby 427 Cobra FAM previously owned by late actor Paul Walker.

(February 26, 2021) SPRING GREEN, Wis.  — Ringbrothers, a custom car builder and parts manufacturer, today unveiled its latest creation — a resto-mod 1968 Mercury Cougar. The Cougar makes a healthy 460 horsepower from its Ford Coyote 5.0L V8 engine connected to a 10-speed paddle-shifted automatic transmission borrowed from the Ford F-150 Raptor.

(February 21, 2021) Eight is enough — exactly the right amount, as it turns out, when it comes to the number of wheels on a car. In 1911, Milton Reeves tested that theory with an eight-wheel vehicle he called the Octoauto. The odd-looking automobile wasn’t his first creation or his last, but it was definitely Reeves’ most significant, even though it wasn’t a financial success. Reeves, a native of Indiana who was born during the Civil War, was among the early architects of the horseless carriage in the late 1880s. In fact, his initial iteration is widely considered the fourth or the fifth American automobile ever created.
