(March 25, 2019) WALWORTH, Wis.— Mecum Auctions’ inaugural Phoenix·Glendale collector-car auction — held March 14-17 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., — saw more than 1,300 vehicles cross the auction block in just four days with sales totals climbing to more than $39 million, an 85-percent increase over Mecum’s previous record total for an inaugural event.

(March 20, 2019) COSTA MESA, Calif.  — A pristinely conditioned 1931 Duesenberg Model J earned the Award of Excellence: Grand Boulevard Walk of History honors at the third annual Classic Auto Show, held at the OC Fair & Event Center this past weekend.  The honor capped a weekend celebration highlighted by record attendance, display of more than 1,500 rare vintage cars and the presentation of 25 awards.

(March 19, 2019) AMELIA ISLAND, Fla. — Gooding & Company realized $22,047,980 in a single day at the company’s 10th annual Amelia Island Auction, held on March 8, including three of the top 10 sales across all auction houses. The most anticipated and talked-about event of the week continued to impress, as President David Gooding and auctioneer Charlie Ross sold 78 of 89 lots for an exceptional 88% sales rate, resulting in an average price of $282,666 per car sold.

Included is a 1979 Porsche 935, one of only seven examples built by the factory for 1979, a 1987 Porsche 962C built by Kremer with a fantastic Le Mans pedigree, and a 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 RS Lightweight that has been restored to its factory specification and livery.
