Vintage Air releases updated 1969 Camaro SureFit climate control systems

(March 18, 2019) SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Vintage Air, the leading manufacturer of complete performance air conditioning systems for muscle cars, hot rods and street rods, has announced the release of its updated Gen IV SureFit air conditioning system for the 1969 Camaro. The new system is available as both a Complete Kit and Evaporator Kit and features several new upgrades including fenderwell hose routing and infinite blower fan speed adjustments.

As part of Vintage Air’s commitment to continuous improvement in the engineering of its climate control systems, the new 1969 Camaro SureFit kit now incorporates several features that will enhance both its appearance and its performance.

Upgrades include a new hose routing path through the fenderwell to keep the engine bay looking cleaner, higher on-dash evaporator mounting for additional room in the foot well, new condenser mounts with integral drier bracket for easier installation and an updated controls conversion kit that replaces the OEM three-speed blower switch on the factory A/C cars with an infinite fan speed adjustment lever.

The upgraded 1969 Camaro Gen IV SureFit air conditioning system will be available as a Complete Kit for factory A/C cars (Part Number 964191) and non A/C cars (Part Number 961191) or as an Evaporator Kit for those installations that do not require the under-hood components.

Evaporator Kits are also available for factory A/C cars (Part Number 564191) and non-A/C cars (Part Number 561191). Options for this new Gen IV kit include Vintage Air’s new bolt-in control panel assembly (Part Number 473046) and dash mount (Part Number 491620) for three knob Proline controls.

Vintage Air systems are made in the USA, come with all parts necessary for a complete installation, and are backed by a three-year warranty.
