'The Fast and the Furious' Supra among 'no reserve' vehicles in Las Vegas

(May 31, 2021) SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Barrett-Jackson will light up the Las Vegas Strip with a star-studded docket of No Reserve vehicles during the 2021 Las Vegas Auction, June 17-19 at the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC). Among the most notable a 2015 McLaren P1  originally owned by electronic music producer and professional DJ Deadmau5. The original “10-second car,” a 1994 Toyota Supra that starred in two of “The Fast and the Furious” films, along with a 2003 West Coast Choppers (WCC) custom chopper owned by Pro American wrestler Bill Goldberg are also selling with No Reserve during this year’s Las Vegas Auction.

(May 27, 2021) SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.— Barrett-Jackson will offer collectible vehicles owned by some of the biggest Las Vegas entertainment legends, including Wayne Newton, Siegfried & Roy and Frank Sinatra during the 2021 Las Vegas Auction, June 17-19 at the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC). Among the No Reserve offerings will be a custom 1981 Mercedes-Benz 380SL roadster from Wayne Newton, as well as a pair of highly collectible cars from the estate of Siegfried & Roy: a 2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Gullwing Coupe and a 1994 Rolls Royce Corniche.

(May 5, 2021) WALWORTH, Wis. — The 30th anniversary return of the Mecum Las Vegas Vintage & Antique Motorcycle Auction was held  April 28 through May 1, and results were strong for the event that has long held status as the world’s largest of its kind. The 2021 auction achieved overall sales of $17.5 million as 1,151 motorcycles changed hands in just four days, and with a total of 1,214 motorcycles offered at the auction, the sell-through rate equaled a hearty 95%, a remarkable achievement for a reserve-based auction.

(May 2, 2021) The Ford Motor Company introduced its first handmade, postwar Ford passenger car for the 1946 model year on June 2, 1945. The vehicle incorporated many leftover 1942 body parts. Decorative trim was nearly identical to the prewar vehicle except for a new massive, chrome-plated grille with red striping within the embossed accents.

(May 2, 2021) It’s hard to mistake Damon Dayton’s affection for Volkswagen: his garage is chock full of vintage Buses and Beetles, he has multiple Volkswagen tattoos, and his closet is packed with Volkswagen wares. “The Volkswagen love has been consistent throughout my entire life,” says the 48-year-old professional BMX rider and mechanic, who has owned some 150 Volkswagen vehicles through the years. “It’s a way of life for me.”
