(August 28, 2018) VOLO, Ill. — When the Volo Auto Museum sells some of its famous TV and movie cars and other novelties this September, it won't be because officials are downsizing or cutting their losses. Rather, it will be the continuation of a winning strategy that has helped this increasingly eclectic museum located in a small northern Illinois town to buck the trend that has been closing the doors of other auto museums nationwide.

(May 9, 2018) LOS ANGELES — The Petersen Automotive Museum has announced plans for its upcoming exhibits set to debut on May 26. The first part of the exhibit, titled “The Roots of Monozukuri: Creative Spirit in Japanese Automaking” will illuminate key elements of Japanese design philosophy in the years preceding its climb to market dominance in the 1970s.

(February 10, 2018) PARIS — The Mullin Automotive Museum’s 1936 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic was named The Peninsula Classics “Best of the Best” during a private dinner held at the Peninsula Paris on Feb. 8. In three years of the annual award, the Mullin Museum has won twice, claiming the inaugural title with its 1937 Talbot-Lago T150-C SS.

1971 Citroen SM Bonneville Racecar

(January 23, 2018) OXNARD, Calif. — The Mullin Automotive Museum has expanded its internationally acclaimed Citroën exhibit with the addition of three vehicles from the French automaker: a 1931 C4G, a 1975 CX2200 Berline, and a 1971 SM Bonneville Racecar. The cars represent the newest component of the museum’s “Citroën: The Man, The Marque, The Mystique” exhibit, which celebrates the quirky yet wildly innovative manufacturer.
