Mecum Auctions Gone Farmin' to offer Allis-Chalmers collection

1920 Allis Chalmers 6-12

(May 17, 2017) WALWORTH, Wis.  — One of the world’s most comprehensive vintage Allis-Chalmers tractor collections — the George Nesbitt Collection — will be offered at auction July 14-15 in Renfrew, Ontario, Canada.

More than 300 tractors and 100 parts and tires will be sold at Gone Farmin’s first international auction. This sweeping collection includes nearly every model Allis-Chalmers has ever produced from the early teens up through the 1980s.

Some rare offerings in this collection include a 1920 Allis-Chalmers 6-12, a 1966 Allis-Chalmers D-17 Series 4 High Crop and a 1969 Allis-Chalmers 190XT Series 3 Diesel. Muscle-tractor enthusiasts will be fascinated with the brawny Persian-orange power in this collection, with a few notable powerhouses to be offered including a 1970 Allis-Chalmers 220 with front-wheel assist, a 1984 Allis-Chalmers 8070 and a 1984 Allis-Chalmers 4W-305.

All lots will be sold in Canadian dollars; after conversion to U.S. dollars, this will result in an approximately 25-percent lower U.S. dollar amount than the final hammer price. Transport services will be available. Please visit Mecum.com for additional details.

The auction is open to buyers and spectators. Daily admission is $15 per person. Bidder registration is free and is available online in advance or at the door. Doors open daily at 7 a.m. with the auction beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 14 and Saturday, July 15. An auction preview will be held from noon to 5 p.m. on July 13, with live entertainment provided on July 13 and July 14. For more information about this event, visit www.mecum.com.
