Leake Auction Co. has variety of cars on the block in Oklahoma City

(January 19, 2017) Leake Auction Company has announced that a collection of 50 cars from Leaded Gas Classics and the Jim McLane Collection, will be offered without reserve during their Oklahoma City auction, Feb. 24, 25 and 26. This year’s event will be held in the newly constructed Bennett Event Center at State Fair Park.

The collection features a variety of vehicles, ranging from Corvettes and Mustangs to a Ford GT and Yenko Deuce Coupe.

“Presenting a collection of this caliber, without reserve, is a great way to kick off our 45th year in the auction business,” stated Richard Sevenoaks, president of Leake Auction Company. “This is an impressive collection of vehicles that have been very well maintained. Eric Joiner of Leaded Gas Classics has been a client for many years. We have worked with him to select the best cars for our auction.”

Highlights from the collection include:

• 2006 Ford GT – Supercharged 5.4L / 550 HP V-8 engine with 1752 miles

• 1968 Shelby Mustang GT500KR Convertible – Listed in the Shelby registry, 1 of only 518 KR cars built

• 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible - †Matching numbers 427 CI / 435 HP V-8 engine

• 1970 Chevrolet Nova Yenko Deuce Coupe – Matching numbers 350 CI / 360 HP V-8 engine

• 1970 Plymouth AAR Cuda – Matching numbers 340 CI V-8 engine, 1 of only 12 Sassy Grass Cudas in the AAR registry

• 1989 Ferrari Testarossa – 4.9L 12-cylinder engine

• 1928 Chevrolet Depot Hack Desert Coach – 35 HP inline 4-cylinder engine, final year for the 4-cylinder in the coach model

• 1968 LeMans Safari Prototype Sport Truck – 1 of 1 dealer constructed and presented to the Pontiac Motor Division President
