Kindred Motorworks unveils Bronco Trail Edition

(April 20, 2023) VALLEJO, Calif. — Kindred Motorworks, the Bay Area producer of modernized vintage vehicles, has unveiled its Bronco Trail Edition. This, the newest prototype from Kindred Motorworks, shows the level of upfit available for Kindred’s Bronco customers. The Kindred Bronco Trail Edition is currently undergoing warm and cold-weather capability testing.

“Customer interest in the Kindred Bronco has been excellent,” said Kindred Motorworks founder and CEO, Rob Howard. “We’re thrilled to showcase the Trail Edition, which adds even more capability to our already outstanding and comprehensively modernized Bronco.”

The Trail Edition made its in-person debut in February at the ribbon-cutting event for Kindred Motorworks’ new Mare Island headquarters and manufacturing facility.

All customers placing a pre-order for an internal-combustion Kindred Bronco, powered by the 5.0-liter Ford Coyote V8, can outfit it as a Trail Edition for $10,000. It includes a front impact bumper with an Integrated Warn Zeon 10-S winch and a rear impact bumper with an integrated hitch and tire carrier.

These features are in addition to the long list of standard equipment and features included in every Kindred Bronco, including a 460-horsepower third-generation 5.0L Ford Coyote V8, four-wheel disc brakes, 18-inch forged aluminum wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich all-terrain tires, full LED lighting, RECARO leather bucket seats with headrests and three-point safety belts, cupholders, a backup camera, power windows, high-fidelity audio with subwoofer and Bluetooth, and much more.

Ten standard color options are available with matched wheels, interior and badging. The Kindred Bronco Trail Edition shown in these photos is finished in Muted Gray, which includes a black leather interior, black roof, matching black fender flares, grille, and badging.  Standard color options with white roofs will include a tan leather interior, matching white fender flares, grille, and chrome badging. Custom paint colors are available via direct consultation between the customer and Kindred Motorworks.

“Every Kindred Motorworks vehicle is designed to be approachable and user-friendly—combining iconic design with modern power and amenities,” said Rob Howard. “The Trail Edition offers customers an easy way to level-up their Bronco’s capability if they plan to venture a little further off the beaten path.”
