Nostalgia Highway

(August 10, 2015) GREENVILLE, S.C. — Michelin is coming to the famed Monterey Car Week Aug. 13-16 with a vehicle that blazed a path in automotive history that didn't involve powerful engines or fancy sheet metal but quite simply air. The L'Eclair automobile commissioned by the Michelin brothers in 1895 rode on four skinny, white rubber inflated tires that proved once and for all that the future of the car would not be limited by the unforgiving rigidity of solid circles.

(August 5, 2015) NASHVILLE, Tenn. — There are many ways to celebrate car culture and historic vehicles. One is in museums, the other on the road. For this year's Monterey Motorsports Reunion, Nissan is taking a pair of museum cars — a 1967 Datsun 411 (pictured at top) and 1972 Datsun 510 — filling the tires and gas tanks and putting them on the road.

(July 31, 2015) MONTEREY, Calif. — The Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, Aug. 13-16 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, will feature an abundance of sights and sounds of hundreds of historic race cars throttling around the race circuit, being worked on in the pits or seen driving through the bustling paddock. It is unlike any museum.
