(March 9, 2017) Chevrolet pitched its new 3-speed Turboglide transmission in the V8-equipped 1957 Chevrolet in this 90-second TV ad. It was a $50 option over the standard Powerglide 2-speed automatic transmission and was available from 1957-1961.

(February 23, 2017) WALWORTH, Wis. — Sales totals at Mecum Auctions’ inaugural Los Angeles classic- and collector-car auction climbed to more than $9.3 million when the auction company returned to the Golden State last weekend. Despite record-setting rainfall across Southern California, 283 vehicles were sold over the course of the two-day auction, and more than 116 pieces of Road Art left Pomona in the hands of new owners.

The most prestigious of these awards were the “Custom d’Elegance” which was awarded to the “Mulholland Speedster” built by Hollywood Hot Rods, the “King of Kustoms” award which went to John D’Agostino, and the H.A Bagdasarian “World’s Most Beautiful Custom” award which was presented to the “Mulholland Speedster” built by Hollywood Hot Rods.
