Mecum Gone Farmin’ returns to East Moline March 24-26 for Spring Classic

1926 Bryan Steam Tractor

(March 7, 2022) An impressive auction lineup of more than 350 tractors, 150 vintage trucks and nearly 200 lots of Road Art and relics is set to hit the auction block at Bend XPO in East Moline, Illinois, March 24-26 for Mecum’s 2022 Gone Farmin’ Spring Classic.

Among the featured tractors consigned to the auction is an impressive group of steel-wheel examples, including a rare 1926 Bryan Steam Tractor, which is believed to be one of only five complete tractors of its kind to exist. A 1898 Case 12 HP Compound Traction Engine  is another ultra-rare machine set to cross the auction block as one of four. Alongside the steel-wheel offerings are two crawlers from the makes of Lamborghini  and Minneapolis-Moline that are sure to grab attention.

Nearly 150 vintage trucks will cross the auction block in Gone Farmin’s Big Truck vintage-truck auction, anchored by the Hays Museum Antique Truck Collection, which includes a desirable selection of 37 rare vintage trucks. The offering of the Hays Museum Collection constitutes an extraordinary opportunity to bid on one of the most significant truck collections ever offered at a singular event. The 1939-40 Peterbilt Model 260GD 5-Ton Truck  in the assemblage stands as the only first-generation Peterbilt ever to be offered at auction, and it is believed that there are fewer than five first-generation Peterbilts surviving today.
