The Old Motor

(October 9, 2021) Since the early 1900s, automakers have created cutaway show cars and components that reveal the intricate details of the chassis, bodywork, and drivetrain. By removing sections of the exterior and interior, car buyers can get a fascinating look at the engineering and makeup of a vehicle. The “show quality” preparation of all parts, components, finishes, and extra bright work could dazzle prospective purchasers.

The two views are of a 1956 GM Motorama Chevrolet Belair Cutaway Show Car on an impressive rotary display show it on a stage during setup time at a stop on the 1956 show circuit.
