Chevy continues to grow and innovate the performance market

(January 2, 2025) DETROIT — General Motors and Chevrolet have been committed to the performance market for more than 60 years, beginning with the development of engine blocks, engines, transmissions, and other performance parts for enthusiast, hobbyist, and motorsports customers.

The Chevrolet Performance business continues to expand, with average growth of 7% a year since 2010, while adding 60 new products to the portfolio. Recent additions include the L8P and the 525 RLB crate engine derived from our popular CT525 circle track engine. We also updated the LSX 376-B15 engine this year, expanding product availability for customers.

Chevrolet Performance engines consistently rank above average in value and reliability, making us a trusted choice among trade experts seeking premium original equipment parts. GM takes pride in our product quality: In a recent survey, 73% of surveyed customers recognize the reputation for high brand standards and reliable post-purchase support.
