3,500 vehicles including 30 collections make up Mecum Kissimmee auction

(January 2, 2022) WALWORTH, Wis. — More than 500 of the nearly 800 vehicles that make up 30-plus collections consigned to the world’s largest collector car auction will be offered at no reserve when Mecum Kissimmee 2022 returns to Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, Fla., for the 11-day auction event, Jan. 6-16. In total, an estimated 3,500 vehicles will cross the auction block throughout the duration, and more than 1,000 items of Road Art and memorabilia will be presented on “Road Art Monday,” Jan. 10.

Among headlining collections is The Jackie and Gary Runyon Collection, with 33 of the 34 vehicles within to be offered at no reserve. The collection features the “Vault Find” 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe that was with its original owner until 2017 and has just 8,533 miles, several Tommy Ivo drag cars and a companion 40-foot glass-sided trailer, a 2016 Pagani Huayra that is one of just 100 produced and shows just 725 miles, and a 2017 Ferrari 488 Spyder with 611 miles.

Supercar collector Michael Fux has consigned six highly specialized, low-mileage gems to the Mecum Kissimmee auction, including No. 100 of 106 2020 McLaren Speedtails, this one showing just 194 miles, as well as a 2021 Ferrari SF90 Stradale with just 57 miles. His other consignments include two more Ferraris, a 2021 Ferrari 812 GTS with 138 miles on the odometer and a 2021 Ferrari F8 Spider with only 66 miles, as well as a pair of Mercedes-Benzes: a 2018 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT R with 324 miles and a 2020 Mercedes-Benz GT R  with an even more modest 58 miles.


2020 McLaren Speedtail

Discerning collector and lifelong Corvette lover John Justo is offering The John Justo Collection, which includes 10 vehicles in total, seven of which are rare, vintage Corvettes and six of which will be offered without reserve.

The headlining vehicles from the group include the 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 “Gulf One," celebrated as the most successful production racing Corvette of the C2 era; it’s also one of only 14 regular-production Corvette serial numbers assigned specifically for competition and was the first car prepared with advanced race technology developed specifically for the Z06 and later adapted for use on the prototype Grand Sports. Another of Justo’s headliners is the 1960 Chevrolet Corvette “Race Rat” Tanker  that is one of 10 produced and finished first in class at the 1960 12 Hours of Sebring.


1963 Corvette 'Gulf One'

The Don Salmon Collection of 62 American muscle cars, classics and two late-model gems will be offered entirely at no reserve. Pristine selections of Corvettes, Thunderbirds, Impalas, Chevelles, Mustangs and more will cross the auction block in succession on Saturday, Jan. 15. The Nashville Original Low Mileage Collection will present a selection of 15 mostly unrestored pickups, SUVs and cars including an unrestored 1968 Ford F100 Custom Cab Pickup with just 9,150 miles that was owned by one family until 2008 and an unrestored 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS with 15,542 miles.

Other headlining collections to be offered include the 33-car Gary Thomas Collection consisting entirely of high-quality, collector-grade Ford and Shelby vehicles, The Jerry Brewis Estate Collection of 45 no-reserve collector cars, The Shelton Collection encompassing eight top-shelf Mopars and more, The Al Berman Collection of 15 no-reserve offerings, Jeff Mauk’s Chevelle and Camaro Collection and the collection of Paul Mazze Sr.
